| Graduating In Style! |
CSLI students this summer were treated to our always popular boat cruise graduation party! Everyone enjoyed a little taste of nautical life as they made their way
around the Vancouver harbour, taking in all the spectacular mountain and ocean views it has to offer! It was a great way to send off all of the special students
who make CSLI such a wonderful place to study and also celebrate those who worked hard to receive our special Student of the Class medal awards along with our big
Student of the Month award, the recipient of which wins a scholarship to study a full 4 weeks at CSLI for free! Congratulations to our last three winners of this
prestigious award, Muammer Suyolcu of Turkey, Junichi Motoyoshi of Japan, and Manuela Magana Rivera of Mexico!

CSLI Staff Invade Cirque |
In appreciation of their fantastic efforts and terrific results, CSLI owners Lawrence and Lori-Ann sent all staff members off to Cirque du Soleil for a night of amazing entertainment.
The evening started off with a party in full costume at the school, after which everyone descended upon the circus for a spectacular display of acrobatics and fun. Thanks again to

How International Is That?! |
This past summer saw students from over 50 countries pass through the doors of CSLI! We welcomed incredible groups from Argentina, Turkey, Italy, Thailand, Brazil, and Mexico, in addition
to having individuals stop in from the likes of Sweden, Russia, Indonesia, Reunion Island, and even Botswana! It was a fantastic mix and a fabulous opportunity for all those present to learn
about new cultures and make new friends in a warm, exciting environment! Check out our photo gallery for a glimpse of some smiles from around the world!

CSLI the School for Miss Turkey! |
This year's wave of international students into CSLI also brought with it Miss Turkey International, Gulsun Uslu, to study for several weeks. Expressing that the kindness of everyone at the
school has made her time at CSLI a wonderful experience, she also emphasized that the ample opportunities provided for her to speak, speak, and speak some more have really allowed her to gain
more confidence in her English. Her advice to all is to not be afraid to talk to people. Just go for it and proficiency will come. Gulsun will be putting some of the skills she picked up at CSLI
to immediate use as she vies for Miss International in China this November. We wish her the best of luck!!

Taking Vocabulary to the Next Level! |
Is your English pretty decent? Not really sure what direction to take for that last little push to achieve serious fluency? Why not try CSLI`s Power Vocabulary program? Offered to our high
intermediate and advanced level students, this is the class that will take you over the hump and send you on your way to complete fluency. With a greater focus on the nuances and subtleties of
how words are used in English, and classes centered on contemporary themes such as social change, consumer behaviour and natural resources, this is the program that will give you a more complete

Look Who`s Talking! |
Hi, everybody! My name is Mio and I may look young to you but I`m actually a whole twenty-one and a half days old! My hobbies include eating, burping, sleeping, and dirtying my diapers
(my mommy especially loves that last one). Speaking of which, many of you might know my mommy. Her name is mommy but some people call her Kuniko. She has been the Marketing Manager at CSLI for
a long time and was anxiously waiting for quite a few months with my daddy for me to come along. I wanted to tease them and make them wait as long as possible but I finally decided to make my
grand entrance on August 8, 2008! Me and mommy and daddy are doing great now and we can`t wait to meet you. Take care and hope to see you soon!
