Spring has almost passed and with it two more amazing graduation bashes! Movie grad gave all CSLI students a chance to enjoy a flick at
their own private movie theatre! It was a wonderful afternoon of yummy hot dogs, fun contests, and, of course, CSLI achievement awards!
April's Chef grad was as always a huge success as Mexico took home first prize with their delicious tacos and exciting piņata presentation.

Our spring Student of the Month awards went to the very deserving Nobuaki Kita from Japan in March and Gustavo Camara from Brazil in April.
They both win a one-month scholarship to continue their studies at CSLI. Congrats!

CSLI of the Highest Standards! |
A new organization was officially launched in early March when key players from both the public and private sectors joined forces to
create Languages Canada. Its goal is to guarantee quality by applying rigorous standards for entrance that apply equally to all institutions
- big or small, public or private. To qualify, a school is evaluated in a number of categories: curriculum, teacher qualifications, student
services, student admissions, marketing, promotion, facilities and administration. The process takes several weeks, and the compulsory site
visit alone is a two-day process carried out by a trained inspector. CSLI is one of only 144 language training programs nationwide, public
and private, French and English, that have met these standards. We are proud to have been selected as a member of Languages Canada and even
prouder of our staff and teachers who are a big part of our excellence being recognized!

Congratulations CSLI Soccer Squad! |
This past April, CSLI footballers took to the pitch, representing CSLI in a local West Trek sponsored soccer tournament. Lacing up the spikes for CSLI
were players from Brazil, Japan, Colombia, Mexico, and Korea ~ in keeping with the great international mix of CSLI itself! Our two teams gave it their all,
showcasing some great skills! While taking home the trophy wasn`t in the cards for our squad this time around, they passionately represented CSLI and we
couldn`t be prouder! Special thanks to the cheering squad and fans who came out to watch and offer their support. Way to go team!!

Study Plan Reports: |
CSLI continues to offer a very useful service to its long-term students. Any student studying at CSLI for six months or more can take advantage of our
Study Plan Service. The student meets with our Student Service Coordinator at the beginning of their stay in order to design a plan, including what courses to
study in, that will best help them meet their goals at CSLI. Midway through their stay, another interview is held to determine how the student is progressing
and what changes if any could be made. At the end of the student`s stay, a final meeting is held to review their progress and to determine how best to maintain
this English level after leaving school. The CSLI Study Plan is one more way that we can help you achieve your goals in English.

CSLI Goes High-Tech! |
Top-notch teachers and classes! Amazing staff and service! Could it get any better at CSLI? You better believe it! With the addition of flat-screen TVs,
iPods with docks, and a top of the line projector for the classrooms, along with new computers for the teacher`s room, CSLI has stepped up it`s game once again!
Nothing is too good for our staff and students, and keeping up with the rapid pace of technology is another way that CSLI hopes to provide our clients with the
best service possible!

Getting to CSLI Gets Easier: |
CSLI will be the first stop for students traveling downtown on the new Vancouver Airport train opening next year! And with the Yaletown Station located just 200m
from CSLI English School as the first downtown stop, it is going to be much easier for students to arrive and depart as well as meet their homestay families.
Ask for the Canada Line when arriving at our airport.

Make the Most of Your Working Holiday Visa! |
As a part of exciting Free Friday Activities, CSLI is now offering a series of very useful programs specially designed to help students who come to Canada on a Working Holiday
Visa. Some of the programs include job searching techniques, resume and cover letter writing, and classes for practicing job interview and phone skills. Another attractive CSLI
feature for those on Working Holiday is the ability to change your schedule even when in Canada. Our flexible system allows students to take a "break" from school as long as we
receive 30 days notice. Just one more reason to make CSLI your choice when staying, studying, and working in Vancouver! Check it out for yourself at:

Look Who`s Talking! |
Hi! I'm Shinsuke. I'm back! Wow, it's been a long time since I left Vancouver...but actually it didn't feel like that when I stepped into CSLI. Still the same faces who spent an
awesome time with me back in 2004-2006. I was a student at CSLI at the beginning of my stay and then I became a volunteer after. Coming back to Vancouver/CSLI was one of my long
time dreams and I'm so happy that I finally did it. I had no idea how much I missed CSLI over the last 2 years. The funny thing is I'm already missing Vancouver even though I have
been here for just a few days. I'm going to stay here a few more days but I guess this feeling is going to be strong...I think CSLI has a great system that students can be one of
their volunteers to help other students who don't know the school or even Vancouver. I met many kinds of people who I can't meet in Japan and had a million opportunities to expand
my English skills. I don't think I could have done this without CSLI. This is GREAT!! I think CSLI has some kind of special ability to keep old students interested, such as great
teachers, staff and even the ping-pong table they have. I would like to say one thing here before I close my message, "Come back and see all the stuff you have experienced here at
CSLI, it will be here anytime in your life!!"
Love,
Shinsuke Nakajima (Japan)
