| Life's a picnic! |
The hot, sunny weather and Vancouver's beautiful David Lam Park provided the ideal backdrop for our monthly graduation party. And what an amazing time it was!
After feasting on a wonderful picnic lunch, sports equipment was brought out and everyone had a great time playing all types of outdoor games. We were also treated
to a play put on by a group of students, all on their own initiative, and it was fantastic! We couldn't have asked for better weather, or a better group of friends
to share it with!

Awards of course were also passed out, including the Student of the Month award which, rather than a single winner, went to two winners who have worked equally hard to
make CSLI a warm and welcoming place! Congratulations to the Garcia sisters, Christain and Elisa of Mexico who, as co-winners, will each receive a 4-week scholarship to
study at CSLI! Awesome job! CSLI spirit must run in the family because their brother, Hector, won the same award in November of 2005. What a family!

Spreading the word! |
CSLI took to the road this past May, making its way to the BMI Partnership Workshop in Whistler. It was a wonderful opportunity to let others know about the unique "boutique"
style personal service that we strive to provide our students at CSLI. Many amazing contacts were made with great organizations from all over Latin America, Europe, and the
Middle East, in keeping with CSLI`s goal of maintaining a truly international family! Overall, the event was a huge success and we look forward to welcoming many of our new
friends to Vancouver and CSLI for many years to come!

Now at CSLI you have a great opportunity to talk to a friendly teacher one-on-one in a specially designated room. The teachers will be ready to help you with any English
questions you might have or feel free to come by and chat about anything that's on your mind. We are here to help you! We will be waiting for you every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of

Left Speechless! |
We were treated to another exciting monthly competition this May! The CSLI speech competition never fails to delight and energize the audience, but this time around was
exceptional. All the speeches and presentations were distinctly unique and the participants showed tremendous courage, using challenging grammar and vocabulary, resulting in
rousing rounds of applause from the captivated audience. In the end, the winner was Junior of Brazil, who regaled the crowd with a sincere motivational talk, sharing details
of his own journey to discover his true calling in life. The competition has inspired others to improve their own English skills and so we are looking forward to our upcoming
Vocabulary contest in June, Pronunciation contest in July, and August's Idiom contest. Have fun impressing everyone with your knowledge. Give it a shot!

Look Who`s Talking! |
Hello CSLI!
When I today stepped in the school, I was so excited! It was so nice to see many people again who I remember from my time as a student 6 years ago. It was my second visit to CSLI
after I graduated in December 2002. I still remember my time with you very well: I was learning a lot in the school: my English got much better, I learned much about different cultures
and how life in Canada/Vancouver is. I just had a great time! When I came back to you all today, I just wanted to stay and attend a class (I heard a lot of laughing coming out of the
classrooms, and I remember how much fun it was to learn at CSLI). It was nice to see that CSLI stayed as nice as I remember it!
I really hope that I soon have the possibility to visit you again! This time I hadn't a lot of time, because my husband and I came here for our honeymoon and we went on a trip to the
beautiful Rocky Mountains (I attached a picture from the wedding to this mail).
So, please take care, and thank you again for making my stay as a student with you so unforgettable!
