for extra spending money for the weekends! Among the choices were the

The Canadian Rockies a top
Weekend Destination:
Many CSLI students have visited world famous Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff
and the Columbia Ice Fields through our organized weekend excursions.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to see the sites everyone talks about
after visiting Canada! Other exciting weekend trips include Victoria,
Whistler and Seattle, as well as Bungee Jumping, Skydiving, River rafting
and Camping for adventure seekers! All trips are guided by professional
tour operators and are offered at special rates for CSLI students.
Running for a Cause:
Several CSLI students, teachers and staff participated in the 20th annual
Terry Fox Run to raise money for cancer research. This event
takes place each year in a growing number of countries world-wide (now
in over 52), in honor and memory of our national hero. This year
over CND$5.5 million was raised. It's wonderful to see our students'
concern and care for such a great cause - thank you!
Graduation Barbeque a Huge Hit:
CSLI students enjoyed a beautiful Vancouver autumn day at Second Beach
in Stanley Park and bade farewell to a big group of graduating students.
After the hundreds of pictures taken, games and a soccer match were played.
Thanks to Keith & "his crew" for their great culinary skills in preparing
burgers for this successful event!
Brazilians' Second Award of 2000:
Congratulations to Marúcia Mendes of Fortaleza, Brazil on her Student
of the Month Award! Her warm and outgoing personality has made her
many friends here at CSLI. Besides being a social butterfly, she
is a hard working student who is well deserving of her award. "Great
job, Marúcia and see you at our 10th anniversary reunion!" To read
more about our past winners and their awards, please visit: http://www.csli.com/bulletinboard8.htm
See you next month!
