Love is in the Air...
February is romance month at CSLI. We had the Great Romance game. The staff chose a special guy, Tyson from Korea, to choose from 8 lovely ladies and one lady, Mayra from Brazil, to choose from 8 special guys. They both got to choose the love of their lives and won romantic gifts. Speaking of love, CSLI would like to welcome our lovely new Japanese Counselor Kuniko Goto and wish Miki Barria a speedy recovery and a wonderful new life in Mexico.

Internships more popular than ever!
This spring at CSLI was a very busy time for our Internship department. Some of the companies we placed internships with were: Investors Group, The University of British Columbia - Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Precision Laboratories, Delphi Solutions, Scotia McLeod, Seatrade Shipping, The Beach House, The Vancouver International Children Festival. Being in real-life situations in these various companies has afforded the many participants a fantastic opportunity to improve their English and get practical experience.

Thanks to CSLI Volunteers!
The Pampering For Moms Project for the Make A Wish Foundation was a success because of the CSLI students who generously volunteered their time! The Make A Wish Foundation grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses to provide hope, strength and joy. To date, they have made over 110,000 children's wishes come true. CSLI students helped to help even more wishes to come true.

"CSLI, you have a treasure chest of international students and must be proud of them. Each of the CSLI students demonstrated commitment (They even got up extra early!), fun (The laughter and smiles were appreciated!), and went the extra mile. I was most impressed by the quality of their hearts. How can I thank you and your students enough, accept to say CSLI students are the best!!!" From Kelly E. Nault Stepping Stones for Life

Friday activities
CSLI's Friday Activities continue to offer students great ways to enjoy their time in Canada while improving their English. We had a number of academic classes like Listening and Pronunciation, a Gastown tour and Italian lunch, a chance to try the truly Canadian sport of curling, and a special trip to Whistler. Over 100 students went up to Whistler on a beautiful sunny Friday for a wonderful day of sightseeing, snowboarding, and skiing.
