Learn English Quickly:
CSLI has just released two valuable reports that all English students should read: How to Study English Effectively at www.csli.com/studytips, written and thoroughly researched by Mark Ainley, our Academic specialist and an authority on this subject. Mark is in the process of writing a book on the same subject. "Finding the Perfect School for You" at www.csli.com/rightschool will also help students ask the right questions in finding where to study. This is also an excellent report to help agents identify good schools. Next month we will have a new report on Living in Vancouver, which will report on safety, the best accommodation, and transportation.

100 Days of Summer! The Pride Parade.
Summer events in 2003 will be the greatest ever! Visit our website for the latest things to do in Vancouver this summer including many free things that most people don't know about! Incredible annual events include the Festival of Fireworks in English Bay (from July 30), Canada Day (July 1), the Molson Indy motor race, the Pride Parade, Theatre Under the Stars, free bus rides and dance lessons in Stanley Park, free concerts, and walking and guided architectural tours of the city. Go to our website for our report on Vancouver's Best Kept Secrets www.csli.com/vancouversecrets. Agents are welcome to copy this report to promote CSLI and Vancouver.

Another Successful TESOL Diploma Class:
CSLI is once again uniting the world with English by training future English teachers in our TESOL program. The TESOL students learn everything from classroom management techniques to ways to assess learners and their monitor progress. They practice teaching a varied level of students and learn numerous games and activities which can be used in the classroom. Congratulations to these future teachers who will be helping students in their home countries of Argentina, Belgium, Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, and Switzerland to learn English! http://www.csli.com/programs/index.html#diploma.

Boat Cruise Grad!
Boat Cruise Grad. What better way to enjoy a sunny afternoon than cruising around the harbour at the CSLI Boat Cruise Graduation party! Student of the Month. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm, as the students enjoyed music, drinks, dancing, and a fantastic view of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. One special student had an added surprise by winning the one-month scholarship that goes with the Student of the Month Award. The winner was Agata Czaplicki from Switzerland. She contributed a lot to the school this month with her hard work and positive attitude. She also helped organize a special dinner to share her Polish heritage with the rest of the students. Congratulations Agata!

Open Hearts for Children in Need:
Another successful auction was held at CSLI in order to raise money for disadvantaged children around the world. CSLI sponsors poor children in Philippines, Dominican Republic, India and Chile by providing them with food, clothing, and schooling. CSLI students, homestay hosts, teachers and staff opened their hearts (and their wallets) by donating and buying all sorts of items such as home made baked goods, wine, books, private tutoring and even swimming lessons. Over $1200 was raised! Thanks to everyone who contributed to this great event.

New CSLI Family Members!New Baby.
Congratulations are in order for the blessing of two new babies joining the CSLI family. Yuriko Nadeau, the administrator at CSLI's partner school, Point-3 in Montreal, and her husband Hugues were blessed with baby Hayako. One of our former Students of the Month, Carlos Magno Santos and his wife Monica had a baby boy named Alexandre. Carlos and Monica were present at our 10th anniversary reunion last November.
And to past CSLI teachers, Eve and Craig, now living in London. Here's pictures of their baby boy Lucas: http://www.evegabereau.com. Special congratulations to you all!

Best wishes from your friends at CSLI,
