New CSLI Brochure to be Released:New CSLI Brochure.
CSLI's 10th Anniversary edition brochure for 2002 is being released and is introducing our exciting new programs such as TESOL teacher training, Academic Class, and Executive Program. These go along with our popular practical Conversation classes, Business class, and TOEFL preparation class. To obtain a copy of the new brochure, please contact CSLI at brochure@csli.com or contact your local CEC office.

Spooky Halloween Graduation Party!Halloween Party 2001.
CSLI celebrated the October Graduation with all students, staff, and teachers dressed up in scary costumes. Fifty dollars first prize went to the best costume worn by our student Ehouman N'dah in a spectacular clown costume. The party started at CSLI with drinks, snacks, awards and Halloween games. Then we continued into the night as the whole student body went to a nightclub dressed to scare. Vancouver has never seen such a scary dance floor with monsters, beasts, and witches!

October's Student of the Month: Student Of The Month.
Akiko Tokuoka of Japan was CSLI's top student for October, taking home the Student of the Month award entitling her to a return airline ticket to Vancouver in 2002 for our 10th anniversary reunion, including a 1 month scholarship. Great job, Akiko! Thanks to her agent, Last Resort for sending her to us.

Focus on Academics:
With above average TOEIC test scores this month (the highest score being 900), CSLI students have been increasing our reputation for being a leader in teaching academic skills. CSLI now offers a special academic course to focus on grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing to go along with theVocabulary Contest. TOEFL class, TOEIC/Business class, and the practical Conversation classes. For incentive to study hard, CSLI has been holding monthly competitions to focus on a certain skill. October's winner of the $100 prize was Hyo Kyung Park from Korea who mastered a very difficult vocabulary list. Congratulations to all the participants who entered. Good luck to all the contestants who will join our November Idiom contest.

A Great Time to Remember:
Remembrance Day on November 11th comes at a great time this year as the world struggles to cope with the events that have unfolded before our eyes. To help remember past wars and their devastating effects on humanity, CSLI will once again sell poppies to raise money for the Poppy Fund and host a guest speaker from the Royal Canadian Legion.

CSLI's 10 year Anniversary Reunion Party:
We have just released details of our big reunion for the fall of 2002. If you are interested in details, or have been presented with a scholarship and Free flight award, please contact Lori-Ann Keenan at esl@csli.com.
