"CSLI Celebrates its Official Opening:"
CSLI
is proud to be hosting the Grand Opening of our brand new campus on June
15th. This will be a wonderful chance for our business neighbors to see
CSLI's great location and facilities, as well as meet the staff that makes
the school run smoothly. Everyone will be treated to a warm, social evening
of refreshments, music and great company. Special guests include Concord
Pacific, HSBC and our local Consulates. Demand is High for Summer Programs:
The start of the busy summer season is upon us once again. CSLI will soon
be at peak capacity, therefore we ask students and agents to send their

Strong
interest has been shown for our new Executive English Program. This exclusive
course will be specially designed for business executives seeking to develop
their industry contacts in North America, while learning business communication
skills. The program will focus on industry tours, business speakers, board-room
style meetings and negotiation skills for corporate groups or individuals.

on a Boat:"
What
a great way to enjoy the beauty of Vancouver, by seeing it from the water!
CSLI students enjoyed the April graduation ceremony on a boat with dancing,
drinks, awards, and games. The CSLI student of the month was Hill Lee
from Taiwan. She will join our previous winners here at CSLI for our 10th
anniversary celebration - for free!

"Vancouver
Bus Strike Continues:"
CSLI's
Director, Lawrence Keenan, was a guest speaker at a recent bus strike
protest, representing English students in Vancouver, as well as other
ESL schools. He spoke out demanding that government declare an immediate
return to work for transit workers. A petition has also been circulated
and signed by CSLI students and staff, as well as others in our ESL community.
This will be forwarded to our Premier, Mayor, representatives of TransLink
and the workers' union for their consideration. Temporary transportation
has been arranged for all students between CSLI and their homestays in
the meantime.
