Breaking News: Study & LIVE @ CSLI!
CSLI has announced construction plans for its on-campus residence! Now students will have the opportunity to live at this convenient location and enjoy the excitement and safety of our Yaletown neighborhood. "This is truly a unique experience that students cannot get elsewhere", says Director, Lori-Ann Keenan. "Here they can live with others from different countries and enjoy downtown Vancouver living in a trendy community." Construction is expected to be completed by June. Please contact us, if you are interested at: residence@csli.com Demand will be high for this type of accommodation, so please contact us as early as possible.

United Nations at CSLI: Flag Ceremony:
CSLI students from 16 countries presented their nation's flags at a special opening ceremony at CSLI's new location in Yaletown. These flags, representing the current nationalities at CSLI, along with 37 others which represent countries of students who previously studied at the school, were raised to acknowledge all those who have studied with us. During the ceremony, students explained the origins of their countries' flags, before presenting them to the Directors of CSLI. They are now on display permanently, in CSLI's student lounge.

CSLI Congratulations Michelle, as Student of the Month:Student Of The Month
A vibrant, outgoing & articulate student, best describes CSLI's choice of Student of the Month for February 2001. Michelle Farah, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was the deserving individual. We thank her representatives, José & Angela Guimaraes, also former CSLI students, for sending her to our school. The positive impact she made on the school will be missed by all and we hope that she will come again, to visit soon. Naturally, we will see her in 2002, when she is awarded with her return flight to Vancouver and 1 month scholarship. See you then, Michelle! http://www.csli.com/bulletinboard8.htm

CSLI Students Experience Vancouver through Free Friday Activities:
Among the choices in February and March, students had the chance to go: ice skating, golfing, roller-blading & cycling. Lessons were offered in: pronunciation, creative writing, idioms and resumé writing, as well as private sessions to work on particular areas of focus. CSLI students learned to make websites, sit a TOEFL or TOEIC exam, make hand-made pasta, candles or dance Salsa! Excursions included: Whistler, Stanley Park & the Aquarium/Marine Science Centre, Queen Elizabeth Park, Vancouver Art Gallery, Science World, Harbour Centre, Steveston Fishing Village (including a fish & chips lunch) and Granville Island (including a brewery tour). Lastly, for the sports fans, Vancouver Grizzlies, NBA basketball tickets ... what other school offers all these and for no additional cost? http://www.csli.com/brochfree.htm

February Graduation Dance Party:
CSLI students enjoyed a great social evening of getting to know classmates and dancing at the February graduation ceremony. Everyone had a great time listening to the music of different countries. It was our first graduation ceremony held at our new campus and our student lounge proved to be a great dance hall!

Executive English Program Begins in June:
An exclusive English program for executives begins this summer, specifically for high-intermediate/advanced level business people. This select program will offer boardroom style classrooms, presentations by professionals in the industry, public speaking and meeting skills, "dealing with North Americans", on-site industry visits and cutting edge business technologies. Available only for those in middle/senior management positions: please contact us at executive@csli.com for more information

Best wishes from your friends at CSLI,
