"New CSLI Brochure and Website Coming..."
Expected early fall. Watch for our beautifully designed school portfolio, introducing CSLI's spacious, modern facility in Yaletown, as well as exciting new programs and residence to be offered later this year. Sorry for the delay in completion, but as you have come to expect from us, they will be the very best available!

"CSLI Enters Warp Speed ..."
... with the addition several new computers in our lab. Students now have even more opportunity to stay in touch with their family and friends at home, as well as work on class projects by searching the Internet. This, along with many other services remain free of charge to CSLI students. Computer classes will be added to our programs next year.

"Over 20 Nationalities at CSLI!"YaYa's Graduation.
The summer months have given our students a phenomenal opportunity to meet students from an incredible number of countries. Students have commented on the excitement of meeting people from these countries - a chance they would never have had without coming to CSLI. CSLI is proud to have students from the following countries: Argentina, Austria, Brasil, Canada (Province of Quebec), Chile, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Peru, Romania, Russia, Spain, Syria, Taiwan, Turkey and Venezuela!

"Head Teachers Welcomed"Cynthia.Mark.
Another stage for CSLI has begun with the introduction of a couple of familiar faces in the new role of Head Teachers. Cynthia Watson and Mark Ainley are now co-head teachers, leading a stellar cast of talented teachers with English teaching experience from all over the world. CSLI teachers also lend their specialty backgrounds of theatre, music, business and other specific areas, to add to the dimension of their classes.

"Picnic Graduation"Student Of The Month.
The ceremony for July's graduates was filled with great energy, as we bade farewell to over 40 students, afterwhich we awarded the Student of the Month to Leonardo Azzolini, the first student from Argentina to win the prize! Well deserved! After a delicious, filling lunch, provided by CSLI, students went outside to False Creek to play picnic games, such as volleyball, beach soccer, baseball and there was even a challenging tug-of-war or two!

"CSLI Volunteers Meet Hockey Greats!"
Vancouver hosted the NHL Break-Out the last weekend in July, which over 30 CSLI students participated in as volunteers. This gave them the chance to rub shoulders with some of hockey's most famous players! Similar volunteer and internship opportunities are available at CSLI for students seeking experience.

"Soccer Success Story"
Mid-July, Team CSLI challenged Global Village language school to a great football match. Both teams boasted junior national players from their home countries, resulting in a game which was eventually won 5-1 by CSLI. Way to go Team CSLI, and especially our incredible cheerleaders & fans! Other games are planned this Summer.Soccer Success Story.

"Vancouver Transit Strike is Over!"
B.C. Government has finally put an end to the Vancouver transit strike. SkyTrain continues to operate, with SeaBus starting up on Saturday Aug 4th and the buses on Tuesday next week, Aug 7th. CSLI will continue to run its daily bus for students until these dates. Please tell your friends and clients to once again expect the convenience of the Vancouver transit system to be available to them when studying at CSLI.

Best wishes from your friends at CSLI,

Lawrence & Lori-Ann Keenan
