HOSTELLING INTERNATIONAL(HI)
Vancouver has 3 great Hostels to choose from:
1. HI-Vancouver Central Located in the heart of the city on busy and exciting Granville Street, this is Vancouver's most deluxe hostel. It offers private rooms with TV's and ensuite washrooms, spacious 4-bed dorms, air conditioning, and a TV room. Check out their website
2. HI-Vancouver Jericho Beach Just outside the door you can enjoy a walking along the beach with impressive mountain and city views, cycling and hiking the rainforest or maybe participate in an ocean kayaking adventure. This hostel has a large kitchen, a licenced cafe, a large TV room and lots of space to sit down, relax and meet people from all over the world. Check out their website.
3. HI-Vancouver Downtown Close to all the action, HI Vancouver Downtown is located in the West End residential neighborhood, close to colourful Davie St. with its many shops, restaurants and Cafés. A two minute walk and you're at English Bay beach, the Aquatic Centre and False Creek Ferries to Granville Island. Walk easily to Stanley Park, or rent a bike on site to ride the seawall. We have private rooms available, and all our dorms are small - 4 beds max, and have lockers for your gear, a sink and secure keycard access. Check out their website
YWCA HOTEL
For all travellers, Vancouver's YWCA Hotel is one of the finest "Y" accommodation facilities in North America, definitely "worth checking into!".
Ideally located, downtown's entertainment and sports scene is at your doorstep. Just park the car and stroll to theatres, a hockey game, or up Robson Street with its mecca of shops and restaurants.
Whether travelling with a group, a friend or solo, there's a room to suit your needs and budget. All you'll need to do is comfortably settle in for a good night's sleep.

Our coordinator is able to assist students in making arrangements for staying in an apartment after they arrive. There are excellent opportunities to find apartments downtown and close to CSLI. Some of these are "shared accommodation" (with Canadians or other students), and some are furnished.
Apartment living is not recommended for short-term or low-level English students as it may not give them the best chance to practice their English, especially when sharing with someone from the same country.
